He took us all around the island and shared a lot of history with us about the Mayan culture and life in the island. We got to see crocodiles, their beautiful national park area, and the kids favorite part was snorkeling and swimming in the pool at CoCos beach club. Lunch was yummy. Bring cash for tips and souvenirs. It was the perfect way for our family to experience the island in a short amount of time while our cruise ship was docked. Highly recommend.”

“I paid $84, but my friend paid $68, seems price dropped. They do not serve food or snacks at the lounge chairs, only drinks, to eat you must sit inside the restaurant. Only one restaurant available. Good service, not too crowded, every activity was extra and pricey. A taxi for a party of 7 to Kuza Beach resort cost $140- $180, depending on who you go with. Towels, snorkeling gear, all must be rented out.”

“Be ready to spend 90% of your time at the tequila factory a they pressure you to by tequila pictures and out of their gift shop. The beach time was only 15 minutes then you went to the restaurant where you do get tacos or fajitas but you have to buy drinks water and be pressured into buying items while you eat”

“Our guide took us to his friends area for shopping even though we really didn’t want to shop. Then took us to the ATV spot where we did tequila sampling BEFORE riding atv’s in the mud track. We never saw Jade cavern but were taken to a small swimming hole??? Then a lighthouse where he parked us in front of guys yelling to us to buy their stuff. “Let me say that the staff at Kuza was very nice but that's pretty much the only positive for me. Taxi rides to and from the park were very expensive. Pretty much predatory and there is absolutely no mention of that cost when booking the excursion. Just FYI it cost $65 for 2 adults and 3 kids one way. We were told we could negotiate but once they know you have reservations, you're at their mercy. When we arrived at Kuza, we were taken back to the beach and told that our Mexican flavors class was at 9:15am and then another staff member told us 9:30. We arrived around 9:20…”

“Incredible! Pickup was a little confusing initially, but so long as you follow the instructions on the email, trust the process and they will find you and make sure you get where you need to go. They won’t let you put sunscreen on once you’re on the boat, so make sure you have applied plenty before you leave the dock. The snorkeling is superb with plenty of wildlife. They then take you to a sandbar where you indulge in Mexican beer and fresh, made-to-order guacamole. The fresh-sliced, local pineapple was also delicious. We did tequila tasting with Cesar and bought a few bottles and shopped at their craft store. First there was confusion about the start time of the tour because the tour operator changed the booked time of our tour after informing us that the cruise ship arrival time would be different than local time, but that was not the case and therefore nobody was there to meet us for the tour and we had to wait for someone to show up.
